The carrier of sound
in my head
Voices, words
once heard
echo continues
Now and then a scratch
emotions are too much
expressed in scratches
sensitivity turns to
sensitive skin
the scratches, the wounds
the burning
slowly healing
scars speaking
of my existence
my thick skin
thickness did not matter
scratches went
through thick and thin
sensitivity becomes numb
emptiness of my existence
now filling up with
bubbles of emotions
long ago
yet still today
