Is there any beauty left in this world I said
the world answered me with blossoms falling in front of my feet
I long for tenderness, I whispered
the wind caressed my face
I laid in the grass, feeling lonely
and was joined by a bird that sang it’s song
and more birds
and more songs
and some of them flew around in the infinite sky
and I knew
there’s more than my pain
there’s more than me
and like the birds and flowers, like beauty and decay,
I’m part of the infinite.
