Momma you had struggles,
Big demons in your head,
You should have tried to fight them off,
But let them in instead,
All the sudden you lost your freedom,
And I lost my mother,
You were unable to see me,
And in my heart there was no other,
Momma, I do now feel the pain,
Of drowning, while sailing,
'cause I don't have my kids with me,
And it's all because I'm failing.
Momma, though our mistakes are very different,
The concequences are the same,
Having to live, while only being half alive,
Nothing lasts but to love and feel pain,
And I have to make decisions,
That you didn't get to make,
Which could have prevented so much misery,
And that was your biggest mistake,
So I hope that you look down on me,
And you will shine a light,
For every time I try to sleep,
But instead, I cry all night,
And I hope that you forgive yourself,
I only wish I could,
I knew life could turn into a nightmare,
But I never thought it would,
I sacrifice, I am alone,
So my precious ones can fly,
And my hands, have let go of them,
But my heart can't say goodbye,
Momma, you didn't see me for a long time,
I bet you lost track of the days,
I remember that first day that I visited you again,
I will never forget the look upon your face,
See, I came back momma,
Not because I didn't care what you did,
But because you are the most important woman in my life,
And no one could ever change it,
My kids will return to me,
And until that day comes,
I will be there for them,
Just like all 'em good moms,
You may have done wrong, but you tought me right,
Before I'm dead, no time to quit,
I'll roar like a lion and fight for my loved ones,
