The woman in the mirror
Starry night, I lay in bed,
Thoughts go 'round, inside my head,
The woman in the mirror and I, have finally met,
And I want to live, but she wants me dead,
So I hide from her, while burning bridges,
In order, never to look back,
I'm closing doors, and I'm choosing different paths,
In hope that she'll lose track,
But why am I trying to fool myself,
It's not like she's going anywhere,
She sits in a chair, sipping on a cocktail of my pain,
And she is staying there,
Deep inside of me, the place where no one ever went,
Is where she protects her space,
Making it impossible for me to move on,
She will pull at my feet until I fall on my face,
The woman in the mirror refuses to talk to me,
We play Russian roulette, no more truth or dare,
And she can't wait to shoot a bullet in my heart,
But she doesn't remember, that it's already there...
