A heart as dark as night
Filled with grief and pain
Shatters into a thousand pieces
And so it will remain.
Unable to heal again
An everlasting pain
That's killing me slowly inside
Reminding me it will never be the same.
Shadows dark as night
Will haunt me forever
Shadows of the past
Memories of good times, gone forever
Things will be better in time
Or that's how the saying goes
But what pain will the future hold
That's the question with an answer no one knows …
