pain
Rest is disturbed
by pins and needles all over my body.
Yawns are stopped
by hitching breaths.
Sleep makes my eyes heavy,
but inflamed joints deprives me to relax.
Exhaustion claims me,
but stabbing pain keeps me awake.
Dreams are chased away
by the thundering in my heart.
How long can I last?
When will this pain be in the past?
