As the darkness falls
And the luminary vanished
I can barely see the walls
Borders get banished

The limits of the world
Seem distant and far
As men lays down curled
I stand upright and gaze at the star

I know what I’m about
The world surely does not
I’ll make allowance for the doubt
And still, make the winning shot

The spark in me
Will never diminish
My mind, unbound and free
Will set me through to the finish

So I enjoy the night
And the thoughts it brings
The struggle, the fight
The creation of ideas and things

So when dawn comes
Light outside meets light within
I’ll march out to the drums
Certain that I’ll win

Struggle, fight and strive
Scratch, crawl and endure
For their poison in life
This is the only cure
