I stood in silence pondering
Near a glimmering water still and fair
And therein defiance wondering
Faith looked in my eyes and saw despair
The fighting within
Was showing throughout
And I was no further there than at the begin
And fear was growing along with doubt
For I knew my vision
To be fair and to be true
Why did I question my decision
Under a sky so sunny and blue
And therein defiance wondering at the begin
As so much in life can often be
If we were able to be more emphatic
Then we would be able to see
That paradise was never lost
And heaven is often a footstep away
In summers sun or winters frost
Bliss can be found every day
The wonders of this single trip
Through meadows along groves and streams
Should more often than not curve your lip
So much is more than it seems
And if you seek out solitude
Or the company of your fellow human
Remember what it is you pursue
For you only have one lifespan
Good can be done each day
And albeit it doesn’t always amount to much
Sometimes a good deed finds a surprising way
To improve the common touch
What you feed will grow
Be it small or be it great
We’ll reap what we sow
And we’ll have to bear it’s weight
When I am alone
I’m in bad company
I easily cast the first stone
The bad just sticks abundantly
That is why I seek for the good
Even when it’s hard to find
Because I will not add to the bad even where others would
For the saddest persons are often kind
They felt the low
And in good times drew strength from pain
With it we’ll unquestionably grow
Through loss they’ll only gain
The pond that reflected
The stride within
The morals and beliefs protected
Faith in the end as in the begin
