With the courage of desperation
ears full of virtual cotton wool
hell of a racket that hurts
the vocal cords
I have continued
the years-long dossier
it's raining, the sky looks
how pitiful and the trees
droop their shoulders
it's summer, darling
and I'm not living in it yet
