Stairway to the Sun At that height, the air was thin but the wind brought the coolness of the snow on the peaks the eyes absorbed the first light the body felt rested ready to go further up to bear the weight more easily once the first steps were taken From a height downward the roads seemed like lines on which figures moved far and near everything seemed sharper than in the valley the heart beat wildly with love the wind comforted the tears in the eyes to feel freedom and to long for the past, a bird escaping time, to bring a song to grow wings and fly along to drift in circles on the air current to easily open and close wings to process the grief to comfort the pain
