The limelight of the day,
the hearts lost in the fray,
where moonlight holds her sway,
over innocent hearts.
there where the moonlight remains pure,
guiding us on life's paths,
only to see clear,
every once in a while,
I look back to see all that's left,
then smile and know,
within the tracks upon the sand,
that its okay to leave.
we all live our own lives,
so mine won't be any different,
if only for my day to day,
to be different from yours,
and so we live our lives,
while knowing that I'm unworthy,
of moonlight's kiss.
smiling in knowing,
That I became the wall to carry your blame.
then maybe,
just maybe,
in some small way,
I became your strength.
If just for being the one less faltered.
