Despair
I’ve seen so many people
I saw them live, I saw them fight, I saw them die
I’ve seen so many people
who sold their bodies, sold their life, who made me cry.
These people, rousing my compassion
had no goals left in their miserable lives.
they have learned so many lessons
each time their enemies have turned the knife.
And in their courage of desperation
they walked through life with head erect
and I had such an admiration
I looked at them with all respect.
But what I saw behind the scenes
behind this pure theatrical performance
is that there’s nothing left but painful screams
covered by the curtain of romance.
