there are children dying,
every day
a child gets milled,
every day
there are children crying,
every day
a child gets killed.
Every day
there’s child-abuse
every day
they’re put to shame
every day
there’s something loose
every day
they get the blame.
These are the children of the night
every day could be their last
but they won’t go down without a fight
even though they’re dealing with the past
And I don't want to be a child at night
fighting to survive out there
because every night that I survive
is followed up by another nightmare.
