What does the future hold for us?
None of us can tell
Will there be a star or a cross?
Will it be soft or fell?

None of knows what the future will bring
None of us knows what will be next
We think we learn from the past
But mistakes are made over and over again

Many dictators have arosen on earth
Trying to domiate over mankind
Telling us they can make it better
Making most of us believe in them

But they always turn out to be liers
They don't care about the welfare of their people
They don't rule for the sake of their country
They only care about money and power

They make people believe they want the best
And in the beginning some of them do
But as they grow ever mightier
They forget their ideals and let go

Their people suffer under their comand
They do what they're told, nomatter what
But the commands are tough to follow
And it's not supposed to be like that

That kind of life is hard to bare
For adults who've been through a lot allready
But it's even harder to bare
For the children who do not yet know

Why does it have to be this way?
Why won't anybody protect our little ones?
They're so vulnerable and innocent
They do not know what has to be done

That, we do not know either
No one will ever be sure of that
For we cannot look into the future
And see bright what are deeds will have done

but we always must try to do good
We must protect the young ones
For they are the future we do not know about
And the future is an important thing

We cannot live just for ourselves
We must think about what lies ahead
We must try to garantuee future life
As our parents have done for us

They have protected us from evil
As good as they could have done
They did not know what would happen to us
But they knew we had to live on

We must feel like that too
Our little ones must see the preciousness of life
We've had our chance to feel it
Now we must pass that on

Always stand up for our little ones
Make sure they survive whatever lies ahead
For they are all we've got
But in their innosence they know not

They know not of their importance
And perhaps it's best that way
Let us do what we can for a good future
And let us wish, hope or pray
