Numb
The silence is strecthing in my mind,
the surface starts falling.
Life has left me far behind,
I can hear the echoes calling.
Feel isolated, caught in a black hole.
Can't feel the raindrops on my skin,
crave for the essence in life they stole
and the absence of loneliness within.
Miss the leaves of grass under my feet
and through my fingers every sandcorn.
With the rhythm of my heartbeat
a new melancholic lullaby is born.
Help my wounds in the process to heal,
give me back the ability to heal.
