Sinking to rise no more
I always try to follow my intuition
It will mostly tell me right from wrong
But her Love had another definition
And it kept me crying now for so long
And despite what all my friends say
About "that girl is gonna hurt you"
My emotions make me drift away
'Cause I just don't wanna see it's true
I know our worlds are wide apart
But because of your former relations
You never took a shot for my heart
And gave in to sweet temptations
Now that we seem to be through
I remember my friends' sayings
About "She'll finally desert you"
And you leave me worthless prayings
But please don't leave me this way
Deeply in hurt and filled with agony
With so many things left to say
God, I never wanted this to be me
However I know I can survive
For I always have and always will
I hope you can too in your life
But being together would still...
Maybe somewhere in time far away
You get your feelings sorted out
And gather the courage to say
"I know You are what love is about"
