Endless fall
Standing at the edge of the abyss I stare into emptiness,
I’ve lost my happiness,
I pine away from grief,
the zest of living has been stolen by a devilish thief.
I get dizzy
when those evil voices talk to me
and say I’ve to jump into this bottomless ravine,
you’re ready to celebrate your end of time.
These noises are loud and clear,
there’s no reason for fear, my dear,
take a jump and you’ll glide
towards the golden irresistible light.
Against this tempting offer there is no resistance,
I’m looking forward to the end of my existence,
I feel I’m in control
when I start to fall.
This fall seems to be endless
and I get frightened of this never-ending darkness
when I realize there’s nobody around
to catch me before I hit the ground.
Bathed in sweat I open my eyes
when I realize
I’m still lying in my bed,
another nightmare ran through my head…
