Afraid that I won’t stay
You said I shouldn’t worry
But your words, they are in vain
I’ve seen you run in circles
and I know that you’re in pain
Even in this distance
that’s keeping us apart
I hear you cry yourself to sleep
I feel your broken heart
My heart is overflowing
with the empathy I feel
As I see your open wounds
and I know they’ll never heal
