There you are,
The was near,
Yet in your darkest days,
You still fought the fear,
Courageous and strong,
I never knew you well enough,
if only I understood well,
that you my father,
How to be a great man,
to live, to tell,
Now my load is bit more heavy,
As I vowed to try and understand,
to live a little of your goals,
to love a bit more, as others can tell,
My life is spent in the shadows,
staring at the light,
studying its patterns,
understanding my own fright,
Out of this world,
A new realization,
as humans live like broken mirrors,
their reflections sometimes dim,
But live in the darkness long enough,
and you find the light so perfect,
as the reflections show the beauty,
of a person in the light,
so many times we find ourselves blinded by light,
only to see our unwittingly dark selves,
but look at it from my world,
and I see beauty and strength unfold,
